The Cure for Fear
Everywhere Paul preached Jesus Christ, the people rose up against him. He had been beaten, imprisoned, and stoned. In Thessalonica he had to sneak out of the town at night. Those in Berea drove him out of town. But these were all fairly civil places. Corinth, however-where Paul now finds himself-was a rough, wicked city. No doubt Paul felt anxious. No doubt he worried about the Jews who held his fate in their hands. It was while in this state of fear that Jesus spoke to Paul in a vision. "Don't be afraid...for I am with you."
"Now the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, "Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you..." Acts 18:9-10

Mighty Rubber Ducky Derby 2010 |
The 17th Annual Mighty Rubber Ducky Derby will be on Sunday, October 3rd from 11am to 4pm at Wild Rivers Waterpark in Irvine. When you adopt a duck, you get a free entry to the water park for the day, as well as a chance to win prizes. The event benefits Children's Bureau and their efforts to prevent child abuse.
